Mutarara is a town and a district in the Tete Province of Mozambique.

Mutarara town serves as the administrative center for the Mutarara District. The district is located in the northern part of Tete Province, bordering Malawi to the north. The Zambezi River flows through the district.

The district's geography is characterized by a mix of low-lying plains and higher terrain. The climate is generally hot and humid, with a rainy season typically occurring from November to March.
