Mukhmas

Mukhmas is a Palestinian village located in the Jerusalem Governorate in the central West Bank. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) northeast of the city of Jerusalem.

Historically, Mukhmas has been associated with the biblical town of Michmash, mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. Archaeological surveys in the area have revealed evidence of ancient settlement.

The village's economy is primarily based on agriculture, with olive groves and other fruit trees being significant crops. Employment opportunities are also found in construction and service industries, often outside the village itself.

Administratively, Mukhmas falls under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian National Authority. The village council manages local affairs and services.
