Mo Vaughn

Mo Vaughn (Maurice Samuel Vaughn) is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) first baseman. He played for the Boston Red Sox (1991-1998), Anaheim Angels (1999-2000), and New York Mets (2002-2003).

Vaughn was known for his prodigious power, earning him the nickname "The Hit Dog." He was the American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1995. He was a three-time All-Star (1995, 1996, 1998) and won a Silver Slugger Award three times (1995, 1996, 1998).

His career statistics include a .291 batting average, 328 home runs, and 1064 RBIs. Injuries and weight issues hampered his later career.
