Dorohozhychi (Kyiv Metro)

Dorohozhychi (Ukrainian: Дорогожичі) is a station on the Syretsko-Pecherska Line (Line 3) of the Kyiv Metro. It is located between the stations Syrets and Lukianivska.

The station was opened on March 30, 2000, as part of the first extension of the Syretsko-Pecherska Line westward. It is named after the historical neighborhood of Kyiv, Dorohozhychi, where it is located.

Dorohozhychi is a deep-level station with a pillar-trivault design. The station's architecture is characterized by its use of light-colored marble and granite. The platforms are connected to the surface by escalators leading to a surface vestibule.

An interesting feature of the station is its proximity to the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center. Due to this sensitive location, the design and construction of the station took into consideration the historical significance of the area.
