Brian Noble (rugby league)

Brian Noble (born 14 February 1961) is an English former professional rugby league footballer and coach. As a player, he primarily featured as a hooker. As a coach, he is known for his successful spells with the Bradford Bulls and the Great Britain national team.

Playing Career:

Noble played for Bradford Northern (later Bradford Bulls) for the majority of his playing career. He was known for his toughness and uncompromising style. He also represented Great Britain at international level, appearing in multiple test matches. His playing career spanned the 1980s and 1990s, during which time he established himself as a club legend at Bradford.

Coaching Career:

Noble transitioned into coaching after his playing career concluded. His most notable coaching role was with the Bradford Bulls, where he led the team to multiple Super League Grand Finals, Challenge Cup victories, and World Club Challenges. He was known for his motivational skills and tactical acumen. Following his success at Bradford, he coached the Great Britain national team, guiding them to Tri-Nations and Test series victories. He also held coaching positions with Wigan Warriors and Salford City Reds. Throughout his coaching career, he earned a reputation as a demanding but respected figure.
