Mayday (Nebraska band)

Mayday was an American rock band from Lincoln, Nebraska. They were active primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band's music blended elements of alternative rock, post-punk, and emo.

Mayday's lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Jeff Palik, bassist Greg Hill, and drummer Greg Markin. They were known for their energetic live performances and emotionally charged lyrics.

The band released several EPs and albums, including "The Calm EP" (1999) and "On A Brighter Note" (2001). Their music received regional airplay and garnered them a dedicated following in the Midwest.

Mayday toured extensively throughout the United States, opening for bands such as The Get Up Kids and The Anniversary.

The band disbanded in the early 2000s. Following the breakup, members pursued other musical projects. Jeff Palik went on to form another band, while other members remained active in the Lincoln music scene in various capacities. Although they are no longer actively performing, Mayday remains a notable part of the Nebraska music history.
