Thélus

Thélus is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.

Geography:

Thélus is located approximately 7 kilometers northeast of Arras. The landscape is typical of the Artois region, consisting primarily of agricultural land.

History:

The area around Thélus has a long history, with evidence of settlement dating back to Roman times. The village was heavily impacted by the First World War, particularly during the Battle of Vimy Ridge in 1917. Much of the village was destroyed and subsequently rebuilt.
