Mark Arie

Mark Arie (born February 9, 1882, in Grand Island, Nebraska; died December 19, 1958, in Cicero, Illinois) was an American sport shooter who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the American team that won the gold medal in the team clay pigeon shooting event. Individually, he also won the gold medal in the individual clay pigeon shooting competition at the same Olympics held in Antwerp. Beyond the Olympics, detailed information on Arie's life and shooting career is limited, however, his Olympic achievements solidify his place in the history of competitive shooting.
