Mallorca (Parliament of the Balearic Islands constituency)

Mallorca is one of the multi-member constituencies used to elect members of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, the regional legislature of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It encompasses the island of Mallorca.

As a multi-member constituency, it elects a variable number of Members of Parliament (MPs) using the D'Hondt method and a closed-list proportional representation system. The number of seats allocated to Mallorca is the largest of the four constituencies within the Balearic Islands, reflecting its population.

The electoral system in Mallorca, as in the other constituencies of the Balearic Islands, requires a minimum threshold of votes for a party to gain representation. This threshold is typically set at 3% of the valid votes cast in the entire autonomous community.

Voter eligibility is generally the same as for national elections in Spain: Spanish citizens aged 18 or older who are registered to vote and resident within the constituency. Foreign residents may also be eligible to vote under specific conditions.

The results of elections in Mallorca are typically reported along with the results from the other constituencies (Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera) to determine the overall composition of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands and ultimately, the government of the autonomous community.
