The 2003 Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 (October) was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series stock car race held on October 5, 2003, at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama. It was the 30th race of the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season. The race was won by Dale Earnhardt Jr. driving the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. The race was marked by a late-race caution and a green-white-checker finish. Jeff Gordon finished second, followed by Jimmie Johnson in third. The race was the second of two NASCAR Winston Cup races held at Talladega Superspeedway in 2003.
