Maher (god)

Maher, in Druze religious belief, is a divine emanation and one of the five cosmic principles (Hudud). He represents the splendor (Baha') and is associated with intelligence and knowledge. As one of the Hudud, Maher is considered an intermediary between God, known as Al-Hakim bi-Amrih, and humanity. He is subordinate to Aql (Universal Mind) and precedes Nafs (Soul), Kalima (Word), and Tali (Precedent) in the hierarchical order. The role of Maher is to illuminate and guide believers towards understanding the divine will. He is not worshipped as a separate deity but revered as a critical component of the divine system and the path to enlightenment.
