Lupin (French TV series)

Lupin is a French mystery thriller streaming television series created by George Kay and François Uzan that premiered on Netflix in January 2021. It stars Omar Sy in the role of Assane Diop, a man inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief character created by Maurice Leblanc.

The series is divided into parts (often referred to as seasons, although Netflix officially labels them as parts). The initial release, Part 1, consisted of five episodes. Part 2, also consisting of five episodes, was released later in 2021. The release of Part 3 occurred in 2023.

Lupin tells the story of Assane Diop, whose life was upended when his father, a Senegalese immigrant, was wrongly accused of theft and died in prison. Years later, Assane, now an adult, seeks to avenge his father by using Lupin's mastery of disguise, deception, and theft to expose the wealthy and corrupt Hubert Pellegrini, who orchestrated his father's downfall.
