Luis Marte (pitcher)

Luis Marte (born January 27, 1986) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

Marte has pitched in MLB for the Detroit Tigers (2011-2012), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2014-2015), and Miami Marlins (2016). He has primarily served as a relief pitcher throughout his career.

In NPB, Marte played for the Hanshin Tigers.

Marte throws a fastball, slider, and changeup. His fastball typically sits in the low to mid 90s mph range.
