Louis Côté (ice hockey)
Louis Côté (born July 29, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman.
Côté was drafted 138th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He played 41 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Capitals between 1999 and 2002, recording one goal and four assists.
Prior to his professional career, Côté played major junior hockey with the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He enjoyed a successful junior career, noted for his physical play and defensive capabilities.
Following his time with the Capitals, Côté played extensively in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Portland Pirates and the Hershey Bears. He also spent time in various European leagues, including playing in Germany and Switzerland.
Côté was known for his size and physical presence on the ice, and carved out a career as a reliable defensive player.
