This page lists film remakes alphabetically from N to Z. It is a non-exhaustive list intended to document notable remakes of previously existing films. Remakes are defined as films based on a previously released film, sharing a similar plot, characters, and themes, but presented in a new context or with significant alterations.
Criteria for Inclusion:
- The remake must be a feature-length film.
- The original film must also be a feature-length film.
- The remake must be a new production, not simply a re-release or a restoration.
- The remake should be generally recognized as a remake of the original film.
- Preference is given to remakes that have received significant critical or commercial attention.
Organization:
Each entry includes:
- Remake Title (Year): The title of the remake and the year of its release.
- Original Title (Year): The title of the original film and the year of its release.
- Notes: Brief information about the remake, including significant differences from the original, critical reception, or other relevant details.
