Lisa Ellis (born March 22, 1982) is an American mixed martial artist. She is known for competing in various promotions including EliteXC, HOOKnSHOOT, and Bellator Fighting Championships. Ellis is notable for her grappling skills and aggressive fighting style. She holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Matt Hume. Throughout her career, she has faced notable opponents in the women's mixed martial arts scene. She is often credited as one of the pioneers of women's MMA.
