Ledeberg
Ledeberg is a district located in the city of Ghent, in the Flemish Region of Belgium. Situated southeast of the city center, Ledeberg was an independent municipality until it was merged into Ghent in 1977.
Historically, Ledeberg was a working-class area, characterized by industrial activity and housing for factory workers. The district underwent significant changes in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with urban renewal projects aimed at improving housing and public spaces.
Today, Ledeberg is a diverse neighborhood with a mix of residential areas, commercial businesses, and community facilities. It retains a distinct identity, separate from the core of Ghent, and is known for its local shops, cultural events, and community initiatives. The district is well-connected to the rest of Ghent by public transportation, including buses and trams.
