Larry Brown (tight end, born 1949)

Larry Brown was a professional American football player who played tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He was born in 1949.

Brown played college football at Kansas State University. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 1971 NFL Draft.

Brown played for the Steelers from 1971 to 1976, winning two Super Bowl championships with the team (Super Bowl IX and Super Bowl X). He was known for his blocking ability and sure hands. While never a prolific receiver, he was a reliable target in short-yardage situations.

After his time with the Steelers, Brown played for the Oakland Raiders in 1977. He retired from professional football following that season.

Following his NFL career, Brown reportedly pursued a career in business. Information on his life after football is scarce.
