LFO (American band)
LFO was an American pop and hip hop trio from Massachusetts, formed in 1995. The group consisted of members Rich Cronin, Devin Lima, and Brad Fischetti. LFO is best known for their hit singles "Summer Girls" (1999) and "Girl on TV" (2000).
The band's name, LFO, originally stood for "Lyte Funky Ones." Their music combined elements of pop, hip hop, and electronica. "Summer Girls," with its distinctive use of Abercrombie & Fitch references and quirky lyrics, became a breakthrough success, propelling them to mainstream attention.
LFO released two studio albums: LFO (1999) and Life is Good (2001). While Life is Good failed to replicate the commercial success of their debut, it did yield the moderately successful single "Every Other Time."
The group disbanded in 2002. They briefly reunited in 2009, but officially disbanded again following Rich Cronin's leukemia diagnosis.
Rich Cronin died in 2010 after battling leukemia. Devin Lima died in 2018 after a year-long battle with adrenal cancer. Brad Fischetti is the sole surviving member of LFO.
