Koungoba

Koungoba is a town and commune in the Cercle of Koutiala in the Sikasso Region of southern Mali. The commune covers an area of 282 square kilometers and includes five villages: Koungoba, N'Goutjina, M'Pessoba, Zanina, and Zansoni.

The local economy is primarily based on agriculture. Common crops include cotton, maize, sorghum, and millet. Livestock raising is also an important economic activity.
