Klabava (river)
The Klabava is a river located in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It is a left-bank tributary of the Berounka River. The Klabava's source is near the village of Polánka in the Brdy Highlands. It flows generally north and northeast, passing through or near the towns and villages of Spálené Poříčí, Nezvěstice, Starý Plzenec, and Chrást. The river joins the Berounka near the city of Plzeň. The Klabava River is approximately 51 kilometers (32 miles) long.
The Klabava valley and surrounding areas are popular for recreational activities such as hiking and cycling. The river itself is sometimes used for kayaking or canoeing, depending on water levels. The Klabava Reservoir (Klabavská přehrada), located upstream from the town of Klabava, provides flood control and water management for the area.
