Kléber (footballer, born 1980)
Kléber (born May 2, 1980), commonly known as Kléber, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who primarily played as a centre-back. He also occasionally played as a defensive midfielder.
Born in São Lourenço da Mata, Pernambuco, Brazil, Kléber spent the majority of his career playing in Brazil. He is most prominently known for his spells with clubs such as Sport Recife, Cruzeiro, and Internacional. He achieved significant success with Sport Recife, notably winning the Copa do Brasil in 2008. He also experienced success with Cruzeiro, winning the Campeonato Mineiro multiple times. His career also included periods at other Brazilian clubs.
Kléber was known for his strong tackling ability, aerial prowess, and physical presence in defense. Throughout his career, he earned a reputation as a dependable and committed player. He retired from professional football after a lengthy career.
