KFVS-TV

KFVS-TV is a CBS-affiliated television station licensed to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, United States, serving Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and Western Kentucky. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 12. The station is owned by Gray Television.

KFVS-TV first signed on the air on October 4, 1954, as the first television station in southeastern Missouri. Its call letters are derived from the initials of Oscar Hirsch's late wife, Kathryn Frances Vasterling Hirsch. The station has long been the dominant television station in the Cape Girardeau market, consistently ranking as the highest-rated station in the region.

KFVS-TV's programming includes CBS network programs, syndicated programs, and locally produced newscasts. The station's news department is known as "KFVS 12 News" and produces several hours of local news programming each day. KFVS-TV also operates a Doppler weather radar system, known as "First Alert Radar," and provides extensive weather coverage for the region.
