Julius Espat
Julius Espat (born January 20, 1967) is a Belizean politician and businessman. He is currently the Area Representative for the Cayo South constituency in the Belize House of Representatives, a position he has held since 2008, with the exception of a brief period between 2015 and 2016. He is a member of the People's United Party (PUP).
Espat has served in various ministerial and committee positions within the Belizean government. He is known for his outspokenness on issues related to national development, particularly in the areas of tourism, natural resources, and infrastructure. He has also been involved in several public controversies and debates related to land management and government accountability.
Before entering politics, Espat was involved in business, primarily in the tourism sector within the Cayo District. He is often referred to as a prominent figure in the western region of Belize.
