Workers' Party (Costa Rica)

The Workers' Party (Spanish: Partido de los Trabajadores, PT) is a Trotskyist political party in Costa Rica. It was founded in 1983. The party is affiliated with the International Workers League – Fourth International (IWL-FI).

The Workers' Party advocates for socialist revolution and the establishment of a workers' state. Its platform typically includes demands for workers' rights, land reform, nationalization of key industries, and opposition to imperialism. The party has historically participated in Costa Rican elections, though its electoral support has been limited. It focuses on grassroots organizing and building a revolutionary movement.

The party publishes a newspaper called El Socialista Centroamericano (The Central American Socialist). It actively participates in labor struggles and social movements in Costa Rica.
