The Big Day (album)
The Big Day is the debut studio album by American rapper Chance the Rapper, released on July 26, 2019, through his own imprint. It follows his mixtape trilogy, 10 Day (2012), Acid Rap (2013), and Coloring Book (2016).
The album is a concept album centered around Chance the Rapper's wedding to Kirsten Corley. It features a wide array of guest appearances, including Francis and the Lights, Taylor Bennett, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Shawn Mendes, Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, and many others.
The Big Day received mixed to negative reviews from critics upon its release. While some praised its positive themes and experimental production, many criticized its length, lyrical content, and perceived lack of depth. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, earning 108,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
