Jon Brant
Jon Brant is an American bass guitarist best known for his tenure with the rock band Cheap Trick from 1980 to 1988, and again from 1995 to 1996. He replaced founding member Tom Petersson, who left the band to pursue solo projects.
Brant's contributions to Cheap Trick include playing on several commercially successful albums such as Found All the Parts, One on One, Next Position Please, Standing on the Edge, The Doctor, and Lap of Luxury. He is recognized for his energetic stage presence and solid bass lines that complemented the band's signature sound.
Following his departure from Cheap Trick, Brant has remained relatively private, focusing on personal pursuits. While not maintaining a high public profile, his work with Cheap Trick remains a significant part of his legacy in rock music. He briefly returned to the band for a short period in the mid-1990s.
