Johnny Ward (rugby league)

Johnny Ward is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. His position of choice was as a prop.

Ward played club level rugby league for Castleford. He debuted for Castleford in the 1977–78 season and played until the 1982–83 season. He was known for his strong tackling and powerful running.

He was part of the Castleford team that reached the Challenge Cup Final in 1980, losing to Hull Kingston Rovers.
