John Simpson (Ontario politician)

John Simpson (born 1820, died November 22, 1887) was a Canadian politician who served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Simpson represented Lincoln riding from 1867 to 1874 as a Liberal. He was born in Niagara Township and served as reeve of the township. Prior to his provincial political career, he was warden for Lincoln County. He married Margaret Woodruff in 1841. Simpson later represented Niagara from 1875 to 1879, also as a Liberal. He was defeated in the 1879 general election.
