John Simpson (New Zealand cricketer)

John Simpson (born 25 July 1954) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played first-class cricket for Auckland. He was a right-handed batsman.

Simpson played 17 first-class matches between 1976 and 1981, scoring 457 runs at an average of 15.75. His highest score was 65, achieved against Otago in the 1979/80 season. He also took 8 catches. He did not bowl.
