John Roberts (Somerset cricketer)
John Roberts (born 1876, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Somerset County Cricket Club between 1902 and 1906. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, Roberts appeared in 24 first-class matches for Somerset.
His highest score was 65, made against Hampshire at Taunton in 1905. He took only one first-class wicket, that of Sussex batsman Ted Humphreys in 1903.
Information about Roberts' early life, other cricket career, and life after cricket is limited. His appearances for Somerset were sporadic, often filling in when other players were unavailable. He was not a regular member of the Somerset team, and his first-class career ended after the 1906 season.
