John Roach (footballer, born 1862)
John Roach (born 1862, date of death unknown) was an English footballer who played as a forward. He is primarily known for his time with Small Heath Alliance, later to become Birmingham City.
Details of his early life and career prior to joining Small Heath are scarce. He signed for Small Heath Alliance in 1885 and quickly became a regular in the team. He was known for his pace and dribbling ability. Roach played for Small Heath in the FA Cup and other regional competitions.
