John McQuaid (cyclist)
John McQuaid (born August 3, 1960) is an Irish former professional cyclist. He competed professionally from 1982 to 1986, primarily riding in Europe. McQuaid represented Ireland at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow in the individual road race, though he did not finish. He achieved several notable results during his career, including placings in stage races and one-day classics. He is a member of the McQuaid cycling family; his brothers Pat McQuaid and Darach McQuaid have also held prominent positions within the sport. After his professional cycling career ended, he remained involved in cycling administration and business.
