John Mason (Australian politician)

John Mason (born c. 1930) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing the electorate of Dubbo. He was a member of the National Party (formerly the Country Party).

Mason entered state politics in 1965, winning the seat of Dubbo. He served as the Leader of the NSW National Party from 1973 to 1975. During his time in Parliament, he held various ministerial portfolios, including Minister for Decentralisation and Development, and Minister for Primary Industries.

He lost his seat in the 1976 election. His defeat was considered a significant upset, and it marked a period of change in the political landscape of New South Wales.
