John Boorman (cricketer)

John Boorman (born 19 January 1937) is a former English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and Sussex.

Boorman made his first-class debut for Cambridge University in 1957 against Yorkshire. He played regularly for the university until 1959, earning his Blue in each year. He also made a handful of appearances for Sussex during this period. His highest first-class score was 104, scored for Cambridge University against Hampshire in 1958.

After completing his studies at Cambridge, Boorman's first-class cricket career was relatively brief. He continued to play occasionally for Sussex until 1963. In total, he played 41 first-class matches, scoring 1,139 runs at an average of 16.50.
