Joe Panik is a former professional baseball infielder. Primarily a second baseman, he played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, and Miami Marlins.

Panik was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the first round (29th overall) of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut with the Giants in 2014 and played a significant role in their 2014 World Series championship, notably turning a game-ending double play in Game 7.

Throughout his career, Panik was known for his solid defense, particularly his ability to turn double plays, and his contact-oriented hitting approach. While not known for power hitting, he was a reliable player who consistently put the ball in play.

Following his time with the Giants, Panik played for the Mets, Blue Jays, and Marlins before retiring from professional baseball.
