Joe Jackson (linebacker, born 1976)
Joe Jackson (born June 20, 1976) is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Jackson was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 7th round (244th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played for the Colts for two seasons, from 1999 to 2000. He then played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2001.
During his NFL career, Jackson primarily played on special teams and as a reserve linebacker. He recorded a handful of tackles during his time with the Colts. He was known for his speed and athleticism.
After his professional football career, Jackson transitioned into coaching. Information regarding his coaching career is limited, but he has been involved in youth football programs.
