Jim York (pitcher)

Jim York (born October 24, 1947, in San Rafael, California) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros from 1971 to 1972 and the Oakland Athletics from 1973 to 1974.

York primarily served as a relief pitcher throughout his MLB career. His Major League debut came on April 7, 1971, for the Houston Astros. Over his four seasons, he compiled a career earned run average (ERA) of 3.36. Following his time in the major leagues, he continued to play in the minor leagues.
