Henry FitzRoy (politician)
Henry FitzRoy (1770 – 1847) was a British politician and army officer. He was the second son of Augustus FitzRoy, 3rd Duke of Grafton and Elizabeth Wrottesley.
FitzRoy served in the British Army, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He entered Parliament in 1796 as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Orford, a seat he held until 1802. He later represented Bury St Edmunds from 1802 until 1806, and then again from 1818 until 1826.
His political career was largely unremarkable. He did not achieve high office but was a consistent supporter of the Tory party.
He married Caroline Pigot, daughter of Admiral Sir Hugh Pigot, in 1800. They had several children. He died in 1847.
