Jim Sacia

Jim Sacia (born December 19, 1945) is an American politician from Illinois. He served as a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 89th district from 1999 to 2011. The 89th district included portions of Carroll, Jo Daviess, and Stephenson counties in northwestern Illinois.

Prior to his legislative service, Sacia worked in law enforcement for over 30 years. He served as the Jo Daviess County Sheriff from 1978 to 1998.

During his time in the Illinois House, Sacia served on several committees, including those related to agriculture, appropriations, and public safety. He was known for his focus on rural issues and law enforcement concerns.

Sacia did not seek re-election in 2010.
