Jerry Doyle (politician)
Jerry Doyle (born July 16, 1957, died July 27, 2016) was an American conservative talk radio host and political commentator. He was best known for hosting "The Jerry Doyle Show," a nationally syndicated radio program that aired on Talk Radio Network (TRN).
Doyle initially gained fame as an actor, playing Michael Garibaldi, the head of security, in the science fiction television series Babylon 5 from 1994 to 1998.
After Babylon 5, Doyle transitioned to political commentary. His radio show, "The Jerry Doyle Show," focused on current events, politics, and social issues from a generally conservative perspective. He was known for his libertarian-leaning views on many issues, emphasizing individual freedom and limited government.
In 2011, Doyle ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona's 5th congressional district as a Republican. He ultimately withdrew from the race before the primary election.
Doyle was the founder of EpicTimes, a news and opinion website, which ceased operation following his death.
