Jeff Webb (basketball)
Jeff Webb is a former professional basketball player and athletic administrator. He is best known for his contributions to the development of SlamBall, a physically demanding sport that combines elements of basketball, football, hockey, and trampoline.
Webb played college basketball at Oklahoma Christian University before embarking on a professional career. While his professional basketball career was relatively short, he transitioned into sports management and entrepreneurial ventures.
Webb conceived and co-founded SlamBall in 1999. He recognized the potential for a high-energy, visually appealing sport that would attract a younger audience. He served as the CEO of SlamBall and oversaw its initial seasons, which were broadcast on national television. SlamBall's popularity fluctuated, leading to periods of inactivity, but Webb remained involved in efforts to revive the sport.
Beyond SlamBall, Webb has been involved in other sports-related business ventures. He has also worked in athletic administration and youth sports development.
