Izsak (crater)

Izsak is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon, named after the Hungarian-American mathematician and astronomer, Imre Izsak. It lies to the southwest of the larger craterчної-Pikkelner. Nearby craters include Crookes to the northeast and Seyfert to the west-southwest.

The rim of Izsak is somewhat eroded, with a number of small craters along the edge and inner walls. The interior floor is relatively level, with a cluster of small craters near the midpoint and some minor craters scattered elsewhere. The crater displays a generally bowl-shaped form, indicative of its age and sustained impact exposure. The overall appearance suggests that Izsak is an older crater that has undergone significant degradation since its formation. Its features are less sharply defined compared to younger craters.
