Imme R100

The Imme R100 was a single-cylinder motorcycle manufactured by Riedel AG in Germany from 1948 to 1950. Its most distinctive feature was its innovative design, characterized by a single-sided swingarm for both the front and rear suspension, and a unitary engine and gearbox which served as a stressed member of the frame. The engine was a 99cc two-stroke unit mounted behind the rider. The motorcycle also featured a unique system where the exhaust gases were used to inflate the tires, though this was not always a reliable feature. Production was halted due to financial difficulties. Though short-lived, the Imme R100 is remembered for its radical and inventive engineering solutions.
