Ike Yard

Ike Yard was an American post-punk and industrial band formed in New York City in the late 1970s. The core members were Stuart Argabright, Michael Gerzon, Charles Ball, and Ann-Marie Shields.

Known for their minimalist sound, Ike Yard blended elements of industrial music, dub, and early electronic music, creating a stark and often unsettling atmosphere. They utilized synthesizers, drum machines, and processed guitars to craft their distinctive sound.

Ike Yard released their self-titled debut album in 1982 on 99 Records, which is now considered a seminal work in the industrial and post-punk genres. The album is characterized by its sparse arrangements, repetitive rhythms, and unsettling textures. The band's music explored themes of urban decay, alienation, and technological anxiety.

Despite their relatively short lifespan, Ike Yard's influence has been significant.
