Idol 2018 (Sweden)

Idol 2018 was the fourteenth season of the Swedish Idol series, which began airing on TV4 on August 20, 2018. The season concluded on December 7, 2018, with Sebastian Walldén being crowned the winner, defeating Kadiatou Holm Keita in the final. The judges for the season were Anders Bagge, Nikki Amini, Kishti Tomita, and Alexander Kronlund. Pär Lernström returned as the host. Like previous seasons, the show followed aspiring singers through auditions, bootcamp, qualification rounds, and finally, live shows where viewers voted for their favorite contestants. The season featured themes each week for the live shows, and guest appearances by various artists. Prior to the final, the finalists released a song, available for streaming and download, to garner support and votes. The winner received a recording contract.
