Ida Maria
Ida Maria Børli Sivertsen (born 13 July 1984), known professionally as Ida Maria, is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. She is known for her distinctive vocal style, energetic stage presence, and blend of indie rock, pop, and punk influences.
Born in Nesna, Norway, Ida Maria gained recognition in the late 2000s with her debut album, Fortress Round My Heart (2008), which featured the singles "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" and "Oh My God." Her music often explores themes of personal struggle, relationships, and social commentary, delivered with a raw and sometimes abrasive intensity.
Subsequent albums include Katla (2010), Love Conquers All (2013), Accusations (2016) and Scandalize My Name (2019). Ida Maria has toured extensively, both in Norway and internationally, and has performed at numerous festivals. She has received several awards and nominations for her work, including a Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy Award) for Best Newcomer.
