Ian Muir (Scottish footballer)

Ian Muir (born 27 August 1963) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward.

Muir began his career with Dumbarton, making his debut in 1981. He had a successful spell there before moving to Dundee in 1985. At Dundee, he formed a prolific strike partnership with Tommy Coyne. He played an important role in Dundee's First Division title win in 1991-92, securing promotion to the Scottish Premier Division.

He later played for Airdrieonians, Raith Rovers, and Partick Thistle before retiring. Muir is remembered for his goal-scoring ability and contribution to Dundee during a significant period in the club's history.
