Harry Thomson (politician)
Harry Thomson (born c. 1930, died November 2015) was a Scottish politician. He served as the Lord Provost of Dundee from 1977 to 1980, representing the Scottish National Party (SNP). Thomson was a prominent figure in Dundee's political landscape during his tenure, overseeing civic affairs and representing the city at various national and international events. He was also a chartered engineer.
His political career included involvement in local government before becoming Lord Provost. After his term as Lord Provost, he remained active in the SNP and local community affairs.
Thomson's death was reported in November 2015, with tributes highlighting his contributions to the city of Dundee.
