Hafslo (village)

Hafslo is a village in Luster Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located at the northeastern end of the Hafslovatnet lake, about 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) west of the village of Solvorn and about 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) west of the municipal center of Gaupne.

Historically, Hafslo was the administrative centre of the former Hafslo Municipality, which existed from 1838 until 2020 when it was merged into Luster Municipality. The village is still considered an important regional center.

Hafslo is home to several businesses, a school, and the historic Hafslo Church, a stone church dating back to the 12th century. The surrounding landscape is characterized by agricultural fields, forests, and the nearby Hafslovatnet lake, making it a popular area for outdoor recreation. The Jostedalsbreen National Park is also located not far from the village.
